Product Description

Bring fresh greenery and flowing texture into your home with the Spider Plant, botanically known as Chlorophytum comosum. This popular indoor plant is recognised by its long, narrow leaves that grow outward in a soft, fountain-like shape.

Variegated varieties display attractive green leaves with white or creamy stripes. Mature plants may develop long arching stems carrying small white flowers and young plantlets, commonly called spiderettes. These baby plants give the Spider Plant its distinctive cascading appearance and can also be propagated to produce new plants.

Spider Plant is an excellent choice for homes, offices, reception areas, bedrooms and covered balconies. It looks especially attractive in hanging baskets, raised planters and pots placed where its arching foliage can spread naturally.

Place it in bright, indirect light for healthy growth and stronger variegation. It can tolerate lower-light conditions, although growth may become slower and the leaf colouring less pronounced. Protect it from intense afternoon sunlight, which may scorch the leaves.

Use a loose, well-draining indoor plant mix. Water when the upper layer of soil feels dry, but do not allow the roots to remain constantly wet. Spider Plants benefit from briefly drying between waterings. Brown leaf tips may develop due to inconsistent watering, excess fertiliser or minerals in tap water.

Its adaptable nature, quick growth and attractive foliage make the Spider Plant a dependable option for beginners and experienced plant lovers alike.
